Looks like some folks are working hard adding some eye candy to Linux. It’s encouraging to see some drop shadows and transparencies on a Linux desktop. Not that I’m gonna switch or anything… unless my inner geekness totally takes over! 😀

I managed to get Xgl and compiz running on my Kubuntu machine a couple of weeks ago. It was definitely not as smooth and put together as the videos floating around online, but I’m impressed. Can’t wait until they polish it off and get it to play nicely with KDE. Of course, now there’s competition from Fedora and AIGLX…
