I recently found an old cd-r in a box that had a backup of my original blog that I started in 2004 at (now defunct). I thought it would be a great idea to use XML files for blog entries (🤦🏻‍♂️)! Of course this became a huge pain to manage. I eventually coded up my own rudimentary CMS that used PHP and MySQL, and after that migrated it all to WordPress in 2006! It’s been happy ever since 😁.

For a fun little project I made an iPhone optimized version of my blog. You can now visit from an iPhone and get a cool interface for viewing my latest posts or flickr photos. I really liked how looked so I borrowed some of their code and then integrated it with wordpress. It wasn’t that hard to do! The webkit browser is really amazing, here’s hoping it ends up in more mobile devices in the future.
